I run about 460 hp and about that in torque,, also whats the most hp anyone is running on there stock 7.5 rear end i just put in a 3:73 gears and did the full install kit with it but i think i want the 4:10 grears in it I just wanna know what chance i have of blown that stock rear end out... and last but not lest I am going to have the trans rebuilt and one shop i trust was talking about put viper parts in the trans when its rebuilt so it wil be bullet proof anyone had this done or now what they r talking about... the trans is fine but the when i race and she gets warn she doesnt want to shift into 3rd i was told the problem is that they have stock aluminum forks and when they get hot then reshape to an ovall instead of a circle so thats y I ask cause i could have 1000hp but if i cant get it in 3rd it really doesnt matter... and b4 some says something yes i can shift i drive semi trk for a living so thats all i do and i know how to shift right... pls feel free to chime in with any usefull knowledge on what i have to ask... thanks guys

ok that was one really long run on sentance with no periods and kinda hard to read when your trying to help out but the pros of having the alm driveshaft is that its lighter and its on peice instead of two it takes less horsepower to spin it and there for sends more horse power to the wheels which in turn makes your car faster.

Some of the V6's came with a 2 piece steel driveshaft. That's why he mentioned it's a one piece. Yes, the Zs came with one piece steel, and some with aluminum.

Sometimes you gotta take your run-on sentence out for a walk...I guess
I put an aluminum shaft on my 96 Z auto trans though I didn't notice a difference but you may notice a slight difference if you're measuring tenths of a second at the strip I kept mine when I sold the car

Wow...punctuation is cool!

Anyway, if you're running over 400 RWHP I'm surprised you haven't grenaded your rear-end already. I would get a good rear-end (probably better to go with a Ford 9") before you rebuild the trans.
