air filter dumb question
Now I feel pretty dumb asking this, but the last thing i want to do is bust a piece of plastic.
The owners manual is really slack on my 96 3.8 showing me how to replace the air filter, the diagrams just dont fit the reality. Has anyone got a simple 1,2,3 step to avoid me breaking something.
Also .... the light bulb that is supposed to illuminate door switches has fallen out from where it should be, and I cant find anything it should click into, does anyone know where it should go. Thanks

A '96 is a little different than a '00, niteman...
1. Locate the "clamp" (having a brain fart on what it is actually called) that is near the top of the filter housing.
2. Loosen it up w/screwdriver
3. Separate tubing from filter housing (may require some twisting/rotating of pieces)
4. Intake housing can now be slid out
5. Unbuckle the filter housing to get to filter
6. Install is opposite of removal

Look at the doorpanel above the window and lock switches. You should see a little hole. Now look on the other side of the panel where this hole was. That's where the light goes. It's kind of a pain sometimes to twist it in or out.
