Default air doesnt blow out hard enough

this has been a really annoying problem recently, the air in my car doesn't blow as hard as it should. its plenty cold but just kinda gently blows out the vents even when the highest level is selected. also, it blows out hard once I turn on the fan but only lasts about 15 seconds, and if I turn off the fan wait about 30 sec to 1 min it will blow out hard again but only for about 15 seconds. what is going on?

Blower motor is stopped up, it's under the passage side of the dash, pull the panel down then just unbolt the motor, 3 bolts and clean it out.

ok, so I took the blower motor out and there was nothing in there with it that would clog it up, there were a few small leaves but nothing substantial enough to do the trick. could there be something further down the ducts that is causing the loss of power that I mentioned earlier?

yes I tested the motor while it was out, and it works just fine....wtf?

ideas?

mine would only go slower when it was in the installed position, i could hear the motor slow down. something to do with the bearings or bushing i would think. if its plugged the fan would not slow down so maybe install motor turn it on and listen for when the air slows if motor slows its probly in the motor.

that a pretty good description of how it sounded the past few days, I guess if it acts up again i'll be putting a new one in.
