Default 99 Camaro: How to turn off headlights?

Is there a way to turn off the headlights while the car is running?
My old pickup used to be able to push the interior lamp button 4 times and the automatic headlights would turn off. I could turn them back on the same way.

Thanks
Clark

The switch does not have an "off" position? I thought the auto headlights had a off, auto and on positions.

The switch does not, in fact, have an "Off" position. The only manual control you have (Without modification, of course!) is off, position lights, and headlights. Of course, this is assuming it's broad daylight and the lights are off to begin with

Clark, nice '68 Camaro, both sitting and in action.
My 2000 SS does the same, Headlamps will not turn off until the ign is OFF and drvr door is open, but h/lamps will not come on with the parking brake set to on. Even when the h/lamp switch is in the OFF position.

FB,
Yes he is. Temporarily, just as he did with his 95 chevy c1500.
Looks like it is not possible on the Camaro.

I have a 99 Z28. Id sure love to turn them off. I can't believe they don't give you an option on something like that. There must be away to kill the power to them.
