Default 98 V6 swap into 96 Plug and Play?

Is a 3.8L V6 swap from a 98 into a 96 Camaro a straight swap?

i believe so, a couple sensors may be different. why not get a newer series 3 3.8? gain hp and usually find a low miles one for good price. have a look here https://camaroforums.com/forum/93-02...nt-info-57568/

I believe the upper intake is different. You should be doing the lower intake gasket and plastic elbows anyways since its the only real weak point of the motor.

This is an 02 engine next to a 96. The 02 intake is straight and the 96 bent down. In 98 the body changed to fit the taller Ls1 in it and the 3800 got the taller intake. I believe the 98 is like the 02.
