You'll need more than 331 whp to do it, Specter. I'll have you dancing around like a circus monkey.

After rethinking this the only way that I can see GM being able to truthfully claim that an LT4 with the hotcam setup is worth 425 HP is if it was a dyno queen and not actually sitting in the car, so dyno headers, no alternator etc. I could see it hitting 425 HP, unfortunately that probably translates into about 375 or so HP once you get it into a car. It's kinda like the "500 HP" L88 from the '67 Corvettes, it makes that witout any periferals.

Uh, yeah. That's what I've been saying all along. I wasn't referring to rwhp. I've seen cars with LT4 Hot Cam setups making 360-370 rwhp.

i think he means 375 at engine, after adding alt, A/C, and all of that. i could see that too. i know my ion, when just engine was dyno'ed made 285. at market, they rate them at 145 at engine.

Ninetysixyenko got the right impression, not 375 rwhp, 375 crank HP once you get it under the hood with all the power robbing goodies As far as seeing Hotcam cars with 360 rwhp I can see that but not without porting heads and intake and some other work to get it to make more power. I'm not saying it isn't possible to make that kinda of power with a hotcam setup, but you'll need heads that flow better than the stock LT4 head.

I believe in context it was clear to everyone that i wasnt really going to attempt any method of asphyxia toward you . also, the earlier comment I made was not personal toward you, simply a statement of fact that jthorn at the time was (maybe still is ) a bigger contributor to the forum than you.... at the time. we have enough fan boys around here. we never need johnny 2-posts piping in with his upstart anti-ford, anti-import, anti-sport tuner whatever. Anybody here will be hard pressed to find any personal attacks that I make that is not simply a sarcastic reply (ie rephrasing something someone has said to me and simply turning it back at them), or should be understood as complete bs as in with nicholas and I.

I guess the only thing to be understood here is that the biggest "****'s" on the internet are probably the 80lbs 20/2 vision geeks that used to get swirlied and wedgied in their therapudic whitey-tightiestill they turned 25. Cuz if u **** one of those guys off at least he has the techno know how to find ur *** and virus the crap out of u [8D]

any actual e-threats or self bolstering is going to make u sound like ur full of *poo* and actually an upstart little kid, especially when ur new. ud be surprised how many 13 year olds we get here just starting crap. bigger boards have it worse. Thats why I dont find it necessary to post the fact that I'm actually 7'1" and weigh 350lbs and can palm a medicine ball [\bill brasky]
