Default 96 z28 info please

Hi Folks!
Just bought a 96 Z-28 for my son, 100,000 mileson it (actualy, I will pick it up friday). A few concerns-- low oil light stays on (yes it has oil), after a couple of miles the service engine light comes on and the car runs a little rough afterwards! Otherwise the car is seems to be in good condition, goes straight with hands off the wheel, doesnt pull when braking, air tight, t-tops dont leak and so forth!

there is no owners manual with it so Im curious about a few things-----------
Was there a performance package offered for the 1996 z28such as traction control which this one seems to have as it lit up when I pulled off the hard surface of the roadand if so what was included with the package

Between the speedometer and tach the is a symbol of some type (red) looks like maybe it has a trans cooler or ? I dont know what this symbol represents
as you can see I know nothing about the 96 z28 so any info would be appriciated! I do own a 86 iroc z28 that we have had since 1987 its an 75,000 mile car, and a unrestored 1963 corvette conv with 80,000 miles on the clock (it will go to the son some yrs down the road)

Thank Folks! for any comments

well i would say the oil sensor is either bad or dirty, if the engine light comes on i would get it scanned to see what codes are coming up, if it runs rough it probably could use a tune up.if the traction control light is coming on after pulling off the hard surface it probably doesnt have traction or again it could be the sensor.the red light is the coolant light, so its probably low on coolant.

if you have the car scanned it will tell you what the engine light is/was on for and prolly the cause of why it runs rough... and its an oil sensor.

I used to have a 96 Z28, traction control was optional. When the rear tires break free, the traction control activates and you'll see the traction light in the dash, and the gas pedal will get pushed back up against your foot. There is a switch on the center dash, to the left and below the radio. You can turn off thet.c. if you want to have more fun, but it resets to the on position everytime you restart the car.
