95 z28 no ign crank no dash lights
i pumped about 5 gals of e85 to see what it would run like . car is built . no built sheet but sure it supposed to run 93.
i was letting the car run while i was pumping the the e85. it started shuttering the the engine light on and and died. i assume the car is tuned or needs a tune. it has a a 280 cam and other stuff.
I have been have trouble starting it. but i could start it eventually. but then at the gas station it just quit on me.
When i turn the key i get now dings or lights. i got all the headlights,radio, and inside light workin but no dash. whaen i turn head lihgts on i see ash light but not the ones for the ignition getting ready the ding ding ding noise. i tried reseting pcm by remove it and removing batt cables and leeting sit for a couple hours. im stumped but i havent checked any modules and ignition switches underneath the kick panael. all fuses good. i dont know anything about relays. i figured they were the case tho.
but like i said i put key in. it dings. but once i start to go and turn to crank NADA. nothing.BUT a quiet tick noise coming from the the engine drive side near firewall. this is weird. i only thought it was just gonna my mcar run i little rougher maybe.
But maybe me turning that key some many times broke something. i read somewhere that it could be this ignition switch male socket looking thing Man. # repc506201
maybe i broke something. and its a simple fix.
please help me out. i dont wanna get. screwed by a mechanic.
they said repalcing this might work

You are going to need to trace the power. Even a test light can do this. You could try cleaning you cable your battery cables both ground and power to the starter. The cranking of the car is a basic circuit. I assume if the cables are not the issue then the starter is fried from all the starting attempts. There is a small wire that runs to the starter. You should have power in that wire while you are trying to start the motor. A friend can try to start it while you have a test light on the wire to see if it lights up. You can find a manual PDF online to help you with the step by step. I have had no luck talking people thru electrical diagnosis.
What would possess you to put alcohol in an engine that is not designed for it? I mean not only is it going to run like crap because the engine needs more alcohol to do the same thing Gas can do, that high a concentration in a car not designed for it will destroy the fuel system. I think figuring out your electrical issue will be the easy part of fixing your car. You got a lot of work ahead of you.
There is no reason to run alcohol unless you are running a turbo and those cars have aftermarket fuel systems it lets then run higher boost. A non-boosted car will be slower on alcohol then on Gas.
