The Bose home theater systems and headphones are top quality and not much even gets close to the sound quality and fidelity. You can get Bose automotive speakers for a price. Yes they are expensive compaired to some of the others out there but you get what you pay for.

The factory Bose speakers were better than the standard speakers but they are only equal to some of the mid level speakers available after market today.

The Bose speakers are soldered to the little amps that power them so you would need to do a little work to get aftermarket speakers in the holders. It is not hard if you know how to solder.

As for the wiring being different than the standard stereo it is but not $100 different. If you just install new speakers to the Bose head unit, they will not work since the Bose head unit is not amplified. If you swap out the head unit you can use the signal wires going to the amps as speaker wires but you will have to disable the amps or you will not get a good sound.

I personally dont like the Bose systems in the Camaros, The Monsoon system is a much better and more modern system in my opinion.

Then you'd want a 50" plasma and then where would you be?
