The vehicle is actually a roadmaster, but should have same drivetrain as an automatic camaro with lt1.

The car will not downshift into 1st after driving. If you stop at a redlight, and try to go, car stays in 2nd or 3rd. If you manually shift to 1, it downshifts fine. Fluid is fine, filter was just changed. Car has 80k miles on it, regular maintenance.

Took it to a shop, they said the pcm was bad and not telling the car to downshift. Talked to a buddy at a dealership, said it sounded like a 1-2 solenoid.

Anyone have this problem before/ have any insight? THANKS
