Default 95 camaro engine problems help quick please

Ok I recently bought a 95 camaro v6 3.4l.. it had a leaking radiator I didn't know about wen I bought it and drove it about 3 hours home... on the freeway an flat land it drove good. But when I started climbibg hills being tht I live on the coastthe car started to heat up.. I kept driving it and the gauge went all the way up and stayed there for about 8min then it dropped all the way to 0... the car wudnt start and smoke was coming from the oil fill cap and dipstick and around tht area but nt the radiator since there was no water. Long story short I replaced the radiator, thermostat and coolant reservoir the car doesn't overheat to my knowledge but the temp gauge is stuck at 0. When I drive uphill it tends to have a little lack of power especially n 3rd n 4th gear.. when I downshift sometimes I can hear a little popping noise from my exhaust.. when I drive for a period of time some smoke comes out the oil fill still but not too much? Any suggestions to any of these problems?

your coolant temp sensor melted or the wires. replace it. you should not let it over heat like. check for head gasket failure in which I'm pretty sure is the case. smoke comming out of the oil filler cap?? are you sure?? you really lucked up so far. I'm very surprised the 207 didn't lock up completely

I personally would have pulled over right after the bridge. In any situation overheating the radiator is never good even just driving normally on a road trip. Def does sound like a gasket problem I would pop open that sucker and have you a look see
