Default 95 3.4 Engine cooling fan not coming on.

I appreciate any help offered on this issue. I am working on my mothers car, and would like to get this up and running for her.

First the serpentine belt broke, I replaced it and it snapped another one. Turns out the water pump was bad when I spun it and it made a grinding noise / had play in it. I replaced the water pump. Man that sucked. Then I put a new belt on and it worked like a charm. However, I noticed the water temp getting pretty high and turned the car off. I think it got around 220, but I did not want to risk going higher. The fan was not coming on. Also when I turn the AC on it makes a deep hum noise and nothing comes out the vents. (tried all settings).
I read that when you turn the AC on it should kick the fan on. Well it does not turn on.

That being said, this could have been a problem for a long time or just started. I have no idea.

What is the easiest route toward a fix? How do I test the fan itself? Is there something I can disconnect that will for sure make the fan come on? If so where is it located etc..

The auto parts store is a good drive away so I want to come fully armed with nearly everything possible to fix the issue.

The fans should turn on at 226F. Is it possible you put the thermostat in backwards? Or maybe it is defective. They are cheap enough to replace.

try bleeding air from the system. park on steep hill or ramps with front of car on the up side. let cool, fill radiator, run with cap off for a short time until no more bubbles or level rises then put cap on, turn engine off and let cool then refill.
