Default 95 3.4 Camaro Hard to Shift

95 3.4 Camaro Hard to Shift

The car is having a hard time shifting into 1st or Reverse. Anyone else have this problem.

Just bought the car for a decent price and would like to restore it and do a LT1 swap if possible.

first thing that comes to mind is the clutch actually i guarantee the clutch in some form unless your trans is completely messed up

weather its the slave cylinder or the pressure plate it could also be the throwout bearing how many miles on the car do you know when the last time the clutch was changed if ever

ill sell you a stage 2 racing clutch worth 285$ with only 8k miles on it the master and the slave cylinders for 175$$ plus shipping
(being serious here)

Before you go replacing parts, go to a shop and have the clutch power-bled

Hard to get into first or reverse at idle. Don't really use either of those gears while going down the road

Also at Idle when trying to go into reverse without the clutch depressed it doesn't stop me from attemping to go into gear like it does in the other gears. It is just open.
