does straight pipes have bad raspy sound to it?

 

Don't know about the raspy part, but they are noisy and annoying, especially during a long trip.

 

AFAIK they have a lot of rasp to them, and generally sound like ****. It's cool the first time you hear them roar, but it gets old real quick.

 

It's all about personal preference. I have headers and true dual straight pipes and I like it every time. I mean I don't LOVE it but I do like it.

And yes, it is raspy, but loud. And I WOT, its loud enough to get a headache real fast. When it backfires, it sounds like a shotgun is going off. Other than that, I like it lol

 

Not to mention that a lot of local Po-Pos will know where you are and would love to write a ticket or two........
