Yep check that and PCM tuned by Solomon for my mods I'm stumped man but thanks I might just send opti back to MSD to have them check it if good r not don't no what it can be I don't want to blame it on tune but been having these problems ever since its been tuned if opti is good that's really all I'm left with is have it retuned? it cuts out worse when I first crank it up cold then it warms up and don't cut out as much but still stutters and misses?????

 

contact solomon, he is pretty good about helping with problems. i have had a tune go bad before on the 93 and he was happy to help out.

 

Ya I emailed him and he hasn't got back to me been bout 3 days I no he don't work on weekends but dam he could return a email I had a question awhile back and all he said is he's not no mechanic???? But I don't no if its in tune r not or the opti ???? I'm stuck man want to blow car up lol just kidding I just put motor back in car I went threw hole motor pulled heads looked at piston walls change head gaskets had heads checked pressure tested and shaved .10 thousands so not much shaved off put fel pro 1074 .039 thickness head gaskets new oil pan gaskets new header gaskets new plugs cause it was easy to change while out of car I no since I went with thinner head gasket and had heads shaved a bit it bumped up compression a little I'm at 11.1 compression that's fine for a lt1 I have heard???? I run 93 octane gas I'm just stumped I took motor out cause I wanted to see if the guy I bought car from. Was telling truth bout what was in motor and its has eagle forged crank 4340 the eagle kit #12110 srp forged pistons 6in h- beam rods Howard billet 4 bolt main caps so motor looked real good on inside and clean I was told motor only had 20,000 miles since rebuild looked real good in side when I torqued heads I went 3 passes up to 25lb 45lb 70lb sorry just letting y'all no more bout car if it helps I checked for vacuum leaks but maybe I didn't get behind intake good enough???? So will try again I will get my dads propane tank and try it this time instead of carb spray thank yall keep helpful answers coming I'm thankful for all ur help

Can you clarify what it's doing. Is the engine acting like it's a mid-range stumble, or is it cutting out when it hits high rpm's? Is it possible you're hitting the rev limiter, which will make the engine cut out at 5,750~5,800 rpm?

 

It cuts out as soon as u hit gas from idle if u full throttle it at idle it will cut out are bogg out for a sec then stutter then rev up OK if I rev slow to 2000 then stomp it it don't cut out car idles right at 850rpm then u stomp it and it cuts out or stutters bad

 

Does it do this when you're driving too, or only when sitting still?

 

Yes don't no what it is it cuts out worse when eng.cold it still does it warm but dont cut out as much but stutters like a miss and I've changed maf sensor maybe my opti spark going bad
