cutting out

Default cutting out

i hav a 98 3.8 v6 and when i am driving and give it any kind of gas it starts cutting ou real bad almost like i is choking itself out or something. i have replaced the coils plus and plug wires and any kind of ign. parts i can think of. i am at a loss here i dont know what else it could be. maybe the fuel pump or filter and or fuel rail?? i just dont know what it could be. please help me out. anything will be better then nothing.

have you checked the fuel pressure. how old is the fuel filter if its old change it, if not you can take it out and dump the contents into a clear container (dump from the tank side hole) and see if its full of crudd or water, if clean as a whistle then put back if not replace. you did replace the spark plugs? what kind are you using and by chance did you drop one of them harder ones to install while putting em in.

noi have notchecked the fuelfilter. and i can not remember what kind of plugs i put in and n i did not drop one. the car has over heated twice do you think it coul hve anything to do with that??

double check to make sure you got the wires going to the right cylinders. are you losing coolant? is there water in the oil? water would change the color of the oil so it looks like its been mixed with milk. have the car scanned for trouble codes.

no i am not loosing any coolant and there aint no water in my oil. the only thing i can think of that the problem ismy fuel pump.

did you change the fuel filter yet? and do double tripple check to make sure the plug wires are in the right place. if you have access to a fuel pressure gage check the pressure. local parts store may have one you can use. its pretty easy to do. see if they can scann for trouble codes while your there. if there are any write em down and let us know what they are.
