Default 94 manual transmission and clutch problems?

I bought a 94 the other day with the 3.4 6cyl and a manual transmission. When I got it you had to pump the clutch to get it in gear so we changed the master cylinder and that didnt help so we changed the slave and that didn't help either so finally we changed the clutch and when we went to start it the clutch peddle was acting like it wasn't pressed in, it would jerk like it was in gear so we put it in neutral and it started right up but wouldn't go into gear. She pumped the clutch for about 7 minutes before it finally went into gear. Whats going on??

And yes, its been bled. Several times.

it should be in the linkage or the master/slave cylinder. get under there and have someone pump the clutch and see how much travel u have on the first pump. if there is no travel it should be in the master or slave. either air or u got a bad or the wrong master/slave. these are a pita to bleed.

Bleeding hydraulic clutches sucks...bad. It took me forever to get the clutch bled on my Subaru. I thought it was bled many many times and it just slowly got better and better. I agree with Craby, watch the travel of the actual clutch fork. Pay attention as you're bleeding and see if you keep getting more travel.
