i have a 94 z28 and i have had a few problems with the car right now. right now the ignition switch broke. the key with stop 1/4 throw the turn then stop like its locked and if i push harder it will go. it makes a click then will not turn on or over. i just get power for a little like 5 sec. help please.

 

you mean if you put the key in and turn it.. it won't start correct. if so check the chip on the key i had thast problem the chip wasn't positioned right and it wouldn't start.

 

Sounds like an issue either with a worn down key or a bad lock cylinder. Replace it and see if that remedies the problem.
