its a lot closer than that id say at most 1/2inch and he did say the screws were about an inch long which would be cutting it close

I had the problem once and started to see if there is pressure when I remove the cap,
and I found that there was more than usual pressure especially when I drive it in hot weather. it just make a loud sound like rattle snake!!!!!
