hi guys just wondering, what do yall think about swapping the 4.8l from a truck into a v6 Camaro. the reason im asking is because looking to do a v8 swap but am on a budget so 5.3l and ls1 ect. cost a pretty penny for a min wage employee. can that motor hold 600 whp on a stock motor or do I need to do forged internals. im not looking to do a small build. thanks guys and gals.

 

4.8 is a turd and 600hp is a lot to shoot for, do your self a favor and find an LS powered car.
You'll save money in the long run and a whole lot of headaches if you sell the V6 car and buy a Z28,4th gen Z's are becoming affordable these days.
