sorry have not been around computer since yesterday guys. yeah i used my 93 opti harness section to the 95 vented one. thats what the problem is. thought i had it plugged in the opti but maybe not but regardless i need the 95 opti harness section. i found them new for like 60 bucks. big DOAH to me lol but thats what happens when ya get excited and miss one simple thing. thanks again guys.

It was a good party, wasn't it? But next time, try to have better beer, and maybe your crib won't get trashed so badly! Too bad he didn't invite us earlier, he'd be driving the damn thing by now. I'm sure him having a short stub is his main problem (still talkin bout the opti plug....maybe).

i forgot to get back on here but after a week of waiting for the new plug the car started rite up but i musta missed you guys at the party tho. whats up with that lol. but again thanks guys ill look out vfor stuff like that in future!

Just to let you know the opti can die at any time with any mileage. I was working in a GM dealership in 95 and we were getting cars that were having issues before they were even sold. Hell I pulled on in the shop off the truck for a receiving inspection, pulled in just fine when to pull the car out after I was done and the car would not start. Turned out to be a dead opti that caused it. The car had 8 miles on it. It was a Caprice Classic or an Impala I cant remember what one but it was that big thing that GM used to sell.

MSD makes a nice and reliable replacement Opti you should take a look at if you ever run into trouble.
