Default 93 z28 with 375k miles ?!?!

Hey guys my names jared and im new to the forums here. looks like i am picking up a 93 z28 with 4l60e next week at the low low low price of free haha. that being said it does have 375k miles on it but the tranny has been replaced not too long ago and the body is in ok shape it just needs paint. my main concern is an lt1 with that many miles being as i have never heard of one with that many miles on it. i am a mechanic so when i get the car im deff going to go through it thoroughly, i was thinking about doing spark plugs, maybe doing an intake cleaning, injector cleaning and engine cleaning service to maybe keep the engine going as long as possible but also it kind of scares me to do some of that with all the miles on it. once i get the basics done i was thinking about putting lowering springs on it, throttle body, air foils, cai, either gut the cat and swap the muffler or run true duals and in the future get some paint on it. if need be i can always pull the motor and rebuild it or replace it but im really just looking for any input anyone would have because i dont have alot of experience with chevys. thanks guys!

dont spray water on the engine without sealing the wiring to computer, alternator and double up on covering the optispark,,, thats the distributor and is behind the water pump. do not want to be spraying water on it.

welcome

hmm, even being junked, a high miles car has value even if it's scrap value. Interesting that it's free

what type of mechanic are you? I ask based upon your questions. If HVAC, elevator etc then I'll craft my replies to be analogous to your profession

yep if good, the wiring harness is worth some coin, ecm more so. 93 is one year car for lots of parts so some are not so easy to find.
