93 camaro 3.4L build
You can, but it is not really worth all the work. Heads and intake from an engine used in front drive cars will help. You are stuck with the rear drive block because of how the blocks mount. And you are stuck with using a flat tappet cam because of how the lubricating system is configured on the rear drive blocks. You could also go to force induction, but the block won't like it if you go too high in boost. A better flowing exhaust and cold air intake will help some, but it won't make the car into a hot rod.
Well I changed all of my wiring since my donor car was a 1997, and my car is originally a 93. It wasnt very hard to do, it just took patience to swap everything over. Just mark all of your connectors and it will go back together quick.
It was better than my old worn out 220k mile motor for sure, but I never really pushed it. The hardest I ran it was with a 50 shot and it ran 15s lol, so the v8 swap has better bang for my buck.
