Default re do write up for simple reading

I will do it hear that is you start with takein the car apart 93 to 97 easy 4 hours takeing it apart is easy putting it back together take your time . all the parts from 98-02 front end fenders hood front bumper cover headlight brackets 6 the main one left an right an 2 to hold it in fog lights from 98-02 , inner impact bumper 4 13mm bolts radiator bracket from 98-02 as well , hoods oem slp aftermarket all will need some modification,10mm most commen bolt few 13mm ,every conversion will be different ,the biggest part being the hinges will need to be elongated from 1/4th to on inch on the side not the top ,mine was 3/4ths of an inch off, this is the hard part is mock up ,4th time was the charm ,finishing the conversion tomorrow, its pretty simple but takes more time for some then others ,shimming fenders may be needed, this keeps it simple washers work great an my gaps will look great an do ,having someone with a lot of skills helps ,now if one Is serious an wants to do it then ask a ? , then the rest was just to much to read anyway,so I felt bad good place to restart, patience is key for putting parts back on headlights go in last though we set an wired them early on ,4 holes drilled for headlight brackets,i got all my parts on ebay ,if you have donor car that's good too,i just bought what was needed online ,couse finding a donor car was to far away ,again there all different is why I got to point why guys don't do write ups on this much, when I am done I will add some pictures .just to keep it more simple ,couse I guess I felt bad about pulling it ,when done I will explain each step ,then it is simpler, pics tell the story gaps are fine ,so from oem slp aftermarket it can be done with a lot of patience, my hood hinges also needed to shave the tab on top to go down 3mm,couse all hinges are the same from 93 02 ,but they may be a bit different on 98-02 ,still need mods ,I talked to body guy from cal that said all there conversions were different ,an confirmed elongateing them the holes

well mabey this is better to keep it simple adding most of the pictures to the one post thanks Camaro 69 1 hood 2 fenders 3 bumper cover 4 impact bumper 5 left an right headlight bracket 6 2 upper brackets 2 lower brackets ,connect to frame like seen in pic on my 99 7 headlights 8 radiator bracket 9 fog lights ,connect to the bottom of each headlight bracket ,only thing we had to wire was running lights built into my headlights rest is plugs right up ,10 Camaro insert for bumper 11 licence plate holder oem 12 is 2 L brackets I took off there 99 for now then replace them later one could use any peace of metal drill some holes connects at corners from radiator mount to fender its one the 93 to 97 does not have ,will get a pic later ,dont think I am missing anything thats all the parts besides a few extra bolts you can find in your bolt an nut can, then badge it the way you want

thanks Camaro 69 I been having some personal issues with my mom I am her care giver ,an it can be hard ,I also found out the paint job is crap they did not use any primer ,I feel cheated bye the place I bought the painted parts from ,another live an learn experience ,next project is to paint the whole car ,good thing the hood is well made ,an will have it back together ,pic shows where we scratched the paint near the badge ,for now I will just wax it real well when it cures if it cures right even ,my friend said we can work a deal he will paint the car if I just buy the supplys ,sounds good to me,about $1000.00 I know no ones work is free, but it will be done right we are going to see about borrowing a friends paint booth on a saterday sunday when he is closed , for now Its just about lineing things up good ,it will still look ok,i just been told not to use compound on the paint couse it may come off,a good shop does atleast one good primer coat an 2 good base coats an 2 clear then does the buff as well ,my friend said looks like one coat not even either ,an they probley did not sand the gel coat very well either so will get a gallon of each or 3 quarts anyway, one more sign of I bad paint job was no clear on the under side of the hood. oh well ,move on,

made some head way all the way around today looks like a car ,ok it turns out they are aftermarket parts, but was still told by a shop ,all will be different ,we relized the wreck did not help ,I think I should have had my friend help me take it apart that way he could have seen how the passengers bracket was bent ,so looks better then it did ,I think if that paint stays ,we taked about just painting the front for now then the rest later ,but its going to see new paint ,I think to paint it all at the same time is better for matching in the light ,so gain I think that other write up from another forum was not all the truth ,as he had the car sent to a body shop an they tweaked what ever they could not do ,I ??? it anyhow it was helpful ,but not the reality of a conversion ,couse I think like said they will all be different ,got the new third brake light ,looks like will have on the road bye the may first just few thing to tweak on Monday ,its not done yet need to work the gaps n lights
