93-97 to 98-02 front end conversion
we only drilled 4 holes for the lights ,an the pro just did not know it took the adjust ments on the headlight to make them fit ,so I was right about one thing ,there was one L bracket that goes from fender to radiator support, that I forgot about ,we took the one off the red car ,but this being new build, does not affect my red car at all to have them gone ,but I will get set of them to put back ,all the lights are hooked up an working air dam ,may need to pull out the air vent on each side to do front bumper then put them in last,so its just the hood an front bumper ,an so every part listed early on is all anyone needs an the 2 L brackets the little led lights parking lights look so cool L shape an the light will be 3 times as bright as 93 to 97

wish I was getting back at it Monday but not till atleast Friday looks like with temps in 30s all week ,hopeing for a weather change sooner mabey, again I think a lot of guys don't talk about these conversions much couse there all going to be different the headlight brackets were easy ,the fenders not ,so I think guys don't want to admit there is some mods needed ,lets face it we are changing the whole front end ,then with a car that has take a few wacks too, most guys probley are afraid to say a few things were tough an don't want to talk about anything negative about it ,like said the only thing not oem is the bumper cover,oh ya the oem licence plate holder couse nh you need 2 plates ,$38,95 shipped was a deal ,couse most wan 45.00 to $70.00 there is no after market part for it ,that an amber turn bulbs plug in play

guess most guys don't have clue on how to do these nearest I can figure ,but will make it work ,an like said I know guys are doing them I just think they don't want to talk about it ,or mabey its rare that people do it on there own an have body shops do it ,I am at about $2000.00 bit over for this ,a body shop would have been a lot more for the conversion so I will say some guys have spent 3k an more to have a shop do this for them, the other write up say $600.00 to $800 would be for unpainted parts or right donor, the kid that did that spent a lot of money an time at the body shop anyway painting it to match 3 to 4k ,beccouse paint colors are differrent for 93-97 98-02 not many will find used parts with paint that matches an that's rare ,unless your doing black or red I think some were the same

well with the hood on we got headway the fenders an hood were not easy gaps are just fine bit of shiming good old washer in just 2 spots the hood is siting up with the hood adjusters for now until we get everything in place it sits just fine don't want stress on the firberglass happy ,we will tune up the head lights last an should be fun for the nose ,the nose should be a walk in the park now ,we were short on time today, got cold so we stopped early next Tuesday should wrap it up ,I got to say I think that kid was full of it to say 4 to 6 hours ,heck it took me alone 4 hours to take it apart at a good pace too,we had to like said modify the brackets ,then we had to remove the clips they rest on ,gaps looking great ,needs good cleaning but feel like we are close now ,like said I think a lot of guys don't do these couse its harder then it looks ,but will look good ,then will paint it later this year ,we got to move the fuel pump at some point down lower ,I say I think that kid was full of it because I am working with a guy who is pretty picky with his work, change the oil an get my new plates is comeing soon

to sum this up there wont be a write up realy couse they will all be different + guys don't seem interested anyway ,I can tell you this make sure you know what your doing couse takeing it apart is easy puting it back together is harder got ??? don't ask me ,I just know when mine is done it will look great ,the other write up was only part of what it takes to do it right, thursday will be done weather permiting I can put badges on wash an wax it ,get plates an back on the road,is all the matters to me ,I will wax it 2 times in the first week likely if the paint don't rub off
hahahah though I still wonder with my 35 posts an like 2 repsonces ,why theres is 1500 fans of just reading ,don't do it ,your wasteing you time unless like me your just fixeing it ,unless you got alot of money to spend ,no again I still did this conversion for less then the body shop would have done it for so we kept in under $2800.00 was the price to put back to 93-97 ,now if I ever get dime from the kid who hit me ,it will go toward new paint an a headliner ,an this car will look like new again

ok good info ,is from a body shop an that is hood hinges are a huge factor in these conversions they do them all the time in cal ,nothing just a question I asked about hinges an found out this info ,oem slp aftermarket does not matter 99.9% of these conversions the hood had to come forward an down , both holes on the side of the hinges ? have to be elongated from 1/4th inch to an inch ,in my case 3/4ths on an inch ,then the latch an striker may need adjusting,so from a body shop 6000 miles away confirms they will all be different an need some mods ,with a few getting more lucky then others an said it looked good wich I think so ,the gaps on my old set up were worse ,so plan on a lot of patience for the key word ,of an wash is ok 30 to 60 days before waxing or compound for paint to cure,if it would warm up that would be about 30 days ,its just smart ,though I had time I waxed it the day it came home from the body shop ,there you know they baked it on though ,this place I don't know

So...you're mad at the entire forum for not cheering you on in your build thread, so you threw a fit and deleted everything?
Apparently you didn't listen to this guy, and you're still suffering from not being popular enough on the internet syndrome.
The reason why is because you are one of the only ones (if not the only one) here who has/is planning on doing the conversion. I can't remember myself, anybody else doing it. So there's no need to get all pissy about it, lol. If you do a nice write up, with pictures, it'll be sticky worthy, and your fame will live on.
Now if part of what you're uptight about is the lack of a cheering section, then here you are.... "Way to go man, you can do it, can't wait to see it finished, yaaaaay"!!!

Yeah, I don't get it either. He's complaining about the number of visits compared to the number of responses he's received, then threw a fit and went through all the trouble of going back and deleting a lot of his posts just to try and prove a point?
As of this writing, we have 3 members logged on and 444 guests (non-members). So do the math, for every member there are 148 guests. It's not that the large mass of our members are ignoring him, the majority of views he's gotten were from non members (lurkers). But this is typical for any forum, where there are way more guests than members visiting. This is the world wide web after all.
Which reminds me, I think I'm behind with the "atta-boy" response, so here you go....nice work you had there.
