Default 4th gen interchangeable parts compatibility

Hey All,
Newbie here who recently bought a 96 z28 ss convertible and Im wondering exactly which 4th gen camaro's have interchangeable parts and are they a) year/model specific, b) do any firebird parts fit?
I have been searching the forums and cant seem to find any info so if someone could shed some light on this I would really appreciate it.
To be specific I am looking at replacing things like the dash, sun visors, and also need to replace the hood support struts to name a few...
Thanks in advance!

almost everything 93-96 is so long as the engine is same. v6 have many parts that are not the same as v8 of same year. dash and dash pads are interchangeable 93-96 except for some 93 things. mostly ***** and a few other things have yellow trim (lines on *****) instead of white. best way to tell is do a search and have a look at the part in some of the findings. usually in the description it will say 93-97 or 93-02 or whatever applies. download the parts manual in the manuals section. the part numbers will tell you allot.

Thanks for the quick reply craby, really appreciate the info!
I have downloaded the parts manual already (big thx to the up-loader!).
Anyone have thoughts on firebird crossover parts? I'm located in the middle of Canada and these cars aren't as abundant as they are in the US, so I'm trying to cover as many bases as I can for possible donor cars.

Firebird mechanical parts should be the same body and interior parts are different. The shop manuals are the same.

Another little trick I use is Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market Search the part you need. If you look down the list of who has it look to see if it lists Camaro and firebirds. If it does then it is interchangeable. If not is most likely not interchangeable. That would mean it is not an exact match, Things like seats would not match the Camaro but if you bought all the seats it would work fine. Only a real Camaro/Firebird nut would know.
