3800 v6 96 Camaro with stalling and buckling issues(p1406 and p0102 obd2 codes)
Ok so my car started buckling like if i shifted wrong and when i inspected the engine i saw that and elbow peice from the vacuum line was badly dry rotted, ok i fixed it and no buckling or stalling, anyways about a week later it started doing it again and the service engine soon light came back as well. So i just made sure everything was tight and it went away but when i start driving and i get to about normal temperature for a car it starts again and the light comes back. So i went to kragens and got the obd2 scanner and it said p0102 and p1406 and p1406 pending. So a total of 3 codes. Well now my question is where do i start i know the p0102 is maf and p1406 is egr. O and by the way when i took apart the egr valve i saw that the gasket was not even on right, there was not gasket seal paste and there was it looked in not the best shape could that be the problem. Also how do i clean the egr valve.

My 96 3800 camaro rs did the same thing, Look at your rear oxygen sensor behind the converter. the wires rub on the bracket, that will blow the engine sensor fuse under the hood fuse panel..its a 20 amp yellow. and this will put of the maf code...i bought a new one and then found this problem. Put in a new fuse, repaired wires...problem gone!!!
