2002 Firebird, Axle noise, Whine?

OK, I replaced the fluid with the heavier Lucas. It does sound quieter!
I think I am just going to roll with it.

1999-2002 has a Torsen (Zexel/Torsen) lsd, which do not have clutches to get stuck, it's totally different. Comparing his to yours, you might as well be comparing what a Toyota has vs what his Firebird has. His V6 Firebird will have limited slip, if it has the Y87 package.
did you read that I said I am doing mine soon not comparing, but what he can. try is a pint of stp will stick to everything . if he has the 87 its.still recommended for limited slip I know what can happen without it. lock up of the rearend? is what his handbook says not mine like I said if you did read what I said,couse I know how much it pains you to read my post all the way sometimes I think we read only what we want to ,but thanks for the new info in have a great holiday weekend camaro 69 glad the car seems to be running better ,I am sure we all know a lot of cars go there whole life with the same fluid
