Ok so i found a 1997 red camaro ss six speed for $7500. It's got 97,000 miles on it and from the pictures not a scratch on it. Is this price to low for this car. Is there anything wrong with this model year that i should know about? Thanks, James

 

i would say its a great price, one thing about forth gens......... from 93-97 (old headlights) are worth less then the "catfish" 98-02........... so a 97 ss is like $7500 where as a 98 ss is like 10-13 still.........

 

Yea it also has the LT1. IS the LT1 in the 1997 ss camaro have 275h.p. or 300h.p. i heard it was 300? Is this true or not?

 

the LT1 SS like all other LT1 engine is rated at 285 but i had a funtional air ram hood is this gonna add the 15 horse to get you to 300? no id expect it to be in the low 290's

 

The LT1 SS Camaro was rated at 305 crank HP from GM due to a less restrictive intake and a better cat back exhaust system.
