1995 AC compressor replacement
I have a 95 Z28, LT1 that I am working on.
Has anyone had any real experience changing the AC compressor on a 1995 LT1 car. I am in the middle of change out. I did this same thing on my 1998 LS1 and it was simpler.
Both have to come out the bottom but the LT1 has a lot more garbage to move, unhook, etc. I have the compressor loose now but the sway bar, the PS hoses, the transmission cooler plus a couple other lines seem to be in the way.
What I am looking for are comments from someone else that has done this and what they encountered, tips they have and what has to be removed, etc.
So far it has taken me the best part of a day to get this far but I can see another day to remove and then a day or two to actually reassemble.
I have a Haynes manual but it basically says loosen and take out from the bottom. Not helpful and certainly not that simple.
I would appreciate any tips, comments, etc that the forum users might offer.
