1994 Camaro SES light / OBD
Hello to all.
I'm new here, so I hope I am posting this correctly.
I own a 1994 Camaro with a V6 engine. The "Service Engine Soon" light comes on sometimes while I'm driving, but not all the time. When I turn the ignition off and start the engine again, the light is off again.
I have one of those OBD scanner tools that you plug in underneath the driver side dash. When I plug in the scanner and put the ignition in the "on" position, the SES light just comes on and stays on. It does not flash. According to the instructions, it's supposed to flash a code 12, but it doesn't even do that.
Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.

Can't flash codes on 94 and newer. You will need a real OBDI scanner (not a plain code flasher) for the 94s, unless it was built towards the end of the model run, in which case you still will need an OBDI scanner with cable that connects to a OBDII test port. Or a scanner capable of both OBDI & OBDII.
