Do you mean headers? Long tubes are nicer, but you gotta check your local laws/emissions to see if they're legal.

long tube headers will definitely make more power every time over shorties.

the best price on a nice set I've seen lately are from texas speed, the 1 7/8ths headers are proven to make great power even on otherwise stock LS cars.

https://www.texas-speed.com/p-291-te...e-headers.aspx

we've done them on a couple local cars now and the quality is very impressive for the price.

I have the TSP headers on my car and they fit great. Would buy them again.

pasesetter long tubes 3 inch outlet ,is the only thing lt1 on my car now,you can go true duals ,but make sure you keep them up close to the body as ground clearance can be an issue ,a heat plate should be put in around the gas lines ,with your car ,most guys do the headers ,an also a thought is your ss has slp so long tubes should be fine with magnaflow tips

Header length should be based on what you want out of the car. In theory the perfect headers would start out short and increase in length at the RPMs raised. Long tubes work the best at high RPMs, since we like bragging right and we love to compare HP ratings the long tube headers always win on the dyno. If you are talking drag racing and your are setup to get to those higher RPMs then long tubes are the best. If you are talking a daily driver and just want it to set you back in the seat when you pass someone then a mid length may be better. Since you are talking new heads you will want long tubes.
