yes I agree sounds like a very good swap ,yes the Yukon was powerful I thought it had a bit more then most being the upgrade for 07 ,an there cost was like $40.000 sticker then ,that's a guess ,I will pass on this information to some who have the v6,or have them come hear an read it

These 5.3's and 6.0 swaps are becoming very common because the truck motors are easy to find compared to LS1's. Many of the truck motors are stronger then the LS1. It is pretty common to hit 500HP with a used truck motor and a turbo.
? is it the 98 to 02 ,or any year of the v6 93 to 02

It RUNS!!, Sounds Great too, Love the Borla muffler...Not loud like I thought it would be.

Trans shifts great! This is the first unit I have ever used a Sonnax Performance Pack shift kit on.....I highly recommend it. Shift firmness is just right & Progressive.
The Sonnax Super Hold 4th Servo WORKS! Good crisp 3-4 shift....Which is hard to achieve on a 700R4/4L60E.
Probably wont be using TransGo HD-2 shift kits anymore!!

Engine runs very well....I'm used to it being in a 5,500 pound 3/4 ton Suburban, The Low end grunt just lights the tires without trying, But they are worn out Kumho Solus's, Hopefully the BFG G-force Comp 2's will have better traction?

Very few problems to report.....

MAF needs to be "Rescaled" in the Tune.
Gas Gauge reads backwards.
My A/C Compressor Clutch Coil seems to be shorted, I powered it directly & tripped the circuit breaker on my Power Probe.
Exhaust is hitting somewhere under hard acceleration, Not bad though.

The good news..
ABS, BCM, Passlock, Speedometer, Tach, Volt, Oil & Water Temp work correctly.

I had a custom Engine Harness built for my car by BP Automotive Replacement 1998-2002 F-Body Plug and Play Harness
The harness fit PERFECT, Can't say enough good things about it, I only had to splice 4 wires (For the Cruise), Other than that it was plug & play!

If someone is building their own or using a stock LS1 harness.....The V6 fuse box is short one Ignition Fuse, V6 cars only have 1 injector fuse (Inj. 1 Fuse), LS1 car have 2 injector fuses (Inj. 1 & Inj. 2 Fuses)
Splice all 8 Injectors to the Inj. 1 Fuse, Its a 15 amp circuit & can run 16 injectors if needed!!

The hardest part for me was mounting the Truck Drive By Wire Throttle Pedal....Not so much hard just time consuming.

The exhaust was also time consuming, But I built everything from the Y-pipe back, Just because I didn't want dual pipes exiting the back.

Building the A/C hose Assembly, PITA because I didn't want to spend the money people want for LS1 brackets & accessories, The Harrison V-7 compressor is a POS. The L99/LS3 Denso compressor I have is a lot better, The 150 amp Alternator is good too VS the 105 amp on LS1 cars.

Had to build my own Power Steering pressure hose using Hydraulic hoses & Fittings, Again because of the L99/LS3 PS pump.

The rest was just Assembly of the parts, No More Or Less. It Is ALOT of work, I couldn't imagine doing this without a lift.

Also I did all this on my Vacation....Dedicated a full 5 days to it...Some were over 14 hours long.

ok now the pictures an videos mine was like 60 hours over a 5 week time period .it was needing part after part ,an waiting though nearly nothing is lt1 anymore atleast people know now an it been said my swap was pretty fast too .bolts right up .a guy who knows how to get rid of a lot of wires couse all you need is like 6 to 8 wires with mine,an the headers are a must .an now it would be pretty simple to explain ,then the swap reads ,yes that's a record wao,yes I wish I had a lift my garage is to small though ,but just having garage is nice,i knew a guy in florida had lift under . of those car ports was nice deal it was like 40 x40 x20 ,mine is only 10 feet tall 14 center an 20 X18 wide to small, but I love it couse I just got it my second year with it now ,I wanted 24X24 is standard 2 cars but did not have the room ,,an with the car being 15 feet not much room to work on ,small things I can work on ,but got enough room for work bench tools

Hmmm....that one in Wonder Lake is in my neck of the woods. That's a cheap price, as long as it's not a mechanical mess.
