Default ‘94 3.4L Starts and dies after 5-10 seconds

Hello, I just bought a Camaro from a private seller. When I power it on, it ran completely fine the first couple of days, smelled like gas a lot inside and kinda seemed like it wasn’t getting much power. Went to a store and it died in the parking lot. It turns over and will idle but will shut off. I had half a tank of gas and it now says I have none, security light is not flashing. It will stay on sometimes when pushed on the gas pedal. I also noticed it struggles reversing. Where could I start looking for my issue?

sounds like you have a gas leak and probly are outa gas. check under the car to see if you can see if its got gas line leak. these gas gages are known to run out anywhere from e to almost 1/4 tank when you is outa gas. after my first 4th gen I kept a small can of gas in the car and ran her tell she ran out and then I knew where it was. have had three 4th gen Camaro's and all have run out at different times. I just fill up at 1/4 or more now. anything under 1/2 for some exposes the fuel pump and without the fuel covering it to cool it runs hotter and wears faster.

Yeah if you're smelling gas there must be a leak somewhere in the system.
I'd replace any fuel filters in the system ,make sure all fittings/connections are tight and add a few gallons of fresh gas then see if she'll run.
If she starts and runs be prepared to look under the hood and under the car for any leaking.
