Default Kindigit door handles

Starting the installation of a set of Kindigit door handles.

This was a days work to get to this point. The frame of the handles just fit between the door support structure behind the skin. It is literally a pain to get a dolly inside the door in order to planish the weld seam ( my arm doesn’t bend like that). There is more to come soon, cut the handle recess, weld the frame to the skin, and reassemble the handles.

I made some progress today. I should be able to finish this side this weekend.

TIG welded the handle frame to the door

Cleaned up the weld seam

Reassembled the handle inside the door

Complete less the body work

I’ve completed the installation of the Kindigit door handles.

Final update to this thread. The car is painted and is being reassembled. Images of the completed car will be posted in the “Projects” thread.
