Question about hideaway head light door I know I know

Default Question about hideaway head light door I know I know

I just getting into them, tying up the minor resto
I have 1 that swings and one that is locked

Any tips on a fix or what this is caused by
Or do I have missing parts

Could be a stuck relay. Find relay board bolted to edge of drvr fender about a foot behind headlamp and slap it with hand.

The relays should control both door motors to open or close at the same time. If one door is working and the other is not, I would be checking the limit switches and the door motor for proper operation on the side that is not working. If the outer switch is out of adjustment or it's contacts are not working properly internally to allow a path to ground, the motor will not start. I am assuming by stating the door is locked, you're referring that the door is closed and not able to open. The wiring diagram below is showing the position of the limit switch contacts when the doors are closed and may help troubleshoot your problem.

If your car has the original motors the plastic gears stirp real easy. If you can push to doors open by hand then they are stripped.
