im thinking about gettin a new set of wheels for my 89 RS. Up front i was thinkin 17x8, but in the rear more along the lines of 17x9 or 17x9.5,,, Would this be problematic for my car in anyway? or would something like that even fit without looking dumb drivin down the street with 3 inches of tire comming out the sides.

oh i know what they look like, diameter wise they fit fine, im wondering more so about width of the rear end
