Stroker Crankshaft
I am rebuilding an engine and i have decided to make it into a stroker. My question is should i spend the extra money to get a billet crank or will an offset ground crank be good enough. It will be usedin a street/strip situation.
Ifyou havea factory 400 crank and were going cast I would do what Mike said from what I hear they are at least as strong as the import cast cranks. Remember the factory 400 crank is externally balanced you need to use a 400 flexplate and damper. I wonder how much it would cost to offset grind and how much you could gain??
