Strange problem?
hey guys
So i replaced the ignition control module on my 91 z28. i tried to turn it over and still didnt start without ether and died once it wore off. so when i went to check the injector connectors it ran with the first one on the left side of the motor off. downside it wont rev like at all. ive done basically all of the fuel components except the injectors.
any help im stumped
thaks

If it needs starting fluid to get it going and dies when the fluid is burned off, it means the engine is not getting fuel. Start by measuring the fuel pressure with a gage when you try to start the engine.

its reading 42 pounds. and i checked the flow as well. when i removed the one injector wire it started on its own. plugged it back in while it was running it died. did the same when i tried another plug. its still that single plug

The control lead to the injectors could be shorted to ground causing a bank of injectors to stay open all the time, but does not explain whay you need ether to get it started. Check the injector leads coming from the PCM with an ohm meter & see if they are shorted to ground.
