Somethins wrong with my 87 iroc
uhh well. Im stumped i dont know. I have a 87 Iroc z 305 with tuned port injection
Ive had it in the garage. tryin to figure out whats wrong.
It starts. but wants to die. I rev it to keep it alive but if you hold it it backfires so you gotta keep reving.
I had my friend time it he says he timed it perfect. I replaced Distributor cap, distributor and the rotor.
Im stumped idk. any ideas?
Ive recently put in a new battery and starter.

Hmm.
Anyway, are you sure it's TPI? You've apparently replaced some parts it shouldn't even have to begin with.

well i replaced the battery and starter because the starter was out and the battery had bad cells way before this problem happened.
To solve this problem, i timed it. Replaced the rotor, Distributor, distributor cap.
I gotta check injectors, vaccums, like the EGR valve
