Hello everyone. My ABS inop and brake light come on and stay on every time I start the car. It has been doing this for several months. I was told by the dealership it needs a new EBTCM(electronic brake control module) and they wanted $1,000 to do it. I don't have that kind of money. I have fouind several places that sell the part for less than $100. Anyone know where this part is located, and if so, how to change it? Any help would be appreciated. Befriend a mechanic and ask questions, have them put it up on a rack and show u. Also a repair manual for your car would be good to have for a ref. If possible have a mechanic pull the procedure from ALL DATA or MITCHELL, a sure step by step guide. did u ck your brake fluid? jk lol iam sure you allready got that one! ABS systems are a ***** and lots of $$$$ so before u spend the money on a NON RETURNABLE PART (in most cases) get another shop to look at it! hope i helped and if u r nice i will get the procedure for u!
