Question motor and harness swap..Help!

I'm swapping a 305TPI and harness from a 88 IROC into a 85 IROC,and have noticed that there are some obvious differences. Also the 88 had a five-speed tranny(wich will also be going into my 85).So my question is do I have to swap out the dash wiring,or can I do it with my existing hardware?

the gauge wiring should all be similar if not the same. the differences between those years were some minor engine changes and ecm changes. the only gauge difference came in 90 with the electronic speedo and new cluster design. otherwise it should all work. if not, you can always get aftermarket gauges

you should be able to. i have not done that before and cant say that it will be plug and play, but im rather sure all the gauge stuff will be the same since it was one v8 to another.
