$$$$$$$$, thats what itll take. hell, id be happy with an ls1 swap. But an ls7 powered anything would be hella cool! Im sure gm would sell you the ecu, wiring harness, diagrams, and engine and tranny, just figuring out what someone has never done as far as i know is going to be the hard part.

dont discourage him, maybe he has plenty of both $$$ and man hours. If you want to do it, go for it.

Don't do it. It's not worth the dollars or manpower.

schulzy100, There are a couple of sources for engine and Camaro parts. Summit Racing Equipment and Classic Industries magazines. 500 hp crate engines are about $6,000-$8,000. Classic Industries can mail you a Camaro specific magazine. Lots of fun stuff for the entire car. A literal toy box and wish list for any generation Camaro.
If money's not a factor the sky's the limit. Are you getting the 427 eng. and tranny at a reasonable price? Will you receive the computers and other necessary mods with the engine? If money is an objectdo you have the means and time to build your own 500 hp small block?
Please keep us posted. If you succeed in a 500 hp 3rd Gen please post photos and video of your new beast.
All the best!
