i have a 1992 camaro rs with a 305 and a 700r4 tranny it has 71000 miles on it and i want to know what i can do for 5000 dollars to make it as fast as i can. i was thinking engine swap but then the tranny needs beefed up and also the rearend is this possible for 5000?

 

an entire drive train for 5k? i dont know man, its inda pushin it. Lots of used and rebuildt stuff i guess you could. what are you looking for?

 

he can geta crate 350 for about 2k and then rebuild the tranny for about 600 (or so) and beef up the rear for around 1k and use the rest on mods (cam headers and heads)

 

i was looking at a 383 with a tbi intake for 3 thousand then i would need bigger injectors for the tbi and a computer and a knock sensor from a 350 and beef up the tranny and beef up the rearend with gears and positrac. this seems to fit my budget
