I have a 1985 iroc that has been rebuilt. It has an edelbrock carburetor and air filter. The car stalls out while turning or while on a hill. I think this is because of the floater in the carburetor. I don't think the guy that did the rebuild adjusted it, but just slapped it on. Can anyone tell me if it is the carb and if not then what.

it most likely is the Float. i had a carb that would do sort of the same thing but at full throttle would spray fuel out the carb. i just replaced mine.

I would also guess float. But don't expect a definate answer. If cars could be fixed over the web or the telephone there would be no need for repair shops.

Get a rebuild kit for your carb and it should have a new float and needle valve, among other parts, and an instruction sheet telling you where things should be set. That will get you in the ball park, but you still need to do some tuning to get best results. Assuming that the carb is causing your problem.
