I have the 87 Z with carb and two fuel pumps. One mechanical on engine and an electric in the tank. Tank interior was a mess so I am replacing. When looking for a new pump/sending unit they all seem to have the four lines out of tank but one has a threaded connection. The unit I took out has no threaded connected line. All are slip-on hose and clamps. Can I cut the line with the threaded connector and use the existing rubber connection? Do you have to have the electric tank pump operational? Many small blocks have run on the engine mounted mechanical pump. I have pictures of the Lines that come out of the tank. Thanks,
