So i was doing my oil pan gasket in my driveway. I went inside to get the gasket and told my friend to lift the engine a few inches so we can pull the pan out. When i came back outside i saw he had the jack under the crank pully and harmonic balancer. I lowered the jack and lifted the engine from the top to finish the job. So now with the car running the crank pulley and balancer have a shake/jounce to them. I'm assuming the snout is bent and its time for a new crank.
Are these cranks easy to bend, or could it be the pulley or balancer that is messed up? The shake goes away when the rpms are raised, and it only shakes at idle. You can see the whole engine vibrating at idle. I pulled the balancer and pulley and no rubber is coming out of it. The rubber does have a few small cracks in it, but its nothing huge.
So what do you guys think? Could the crank have been bent that easily or could it be a pulley issue?

Do you know where i can get a crank pulley? Autozone sells the balancer for 48 bucks, but i cant find the actually belt pulley anywhere. Ebay doesnt even have it.

I second what Pete said to try. You stand a fair chance that the harmonic damper got tweaked. Even slightly, and it will throw things off like what you're seeing. Not only is it bad to jack up on the crank, the damper doesn't like it either.

Try the junk yard. You can probably get both parts with all the bolts for about $10. The junkyard is the cheapest place for nonwear hard parts.

id go with a new balancer, but get a used pulley. a junkyard balancer could be just as bad, or worse. havent heard of anyone bending or breaking an oem crank that, but have seen aftermarket (forged and crappy parts store) break off at the balancer from using the wrong balancer, and poor quality.
