Default Exhaust question

Whats goin on everyone. I have a 91 RS and am wanting to upgrade the exhaust starting at the headers and I know the aluminum lines coming off the header go to the Air Injection Pump. My Questin is if I eliminate the lines and pump will it effect the ECM at all.

No it wont, no check engine light, nothing. If you do eliminate the pump, I'll let you know what size serpentine belt I used on my 91.
You use a shorter belt, and it gets routed a little differently from stock.

I take that back, you use a longer belt, because of the way you re-route it. I used a Goodyear Gatorback #4060967, which is 96.7" long (the last 3 digits of the belt #). The stock belt is 94.5" long. I was trying to find the link for the routing, but all you gotta do is google it, which is how I originally found it.

Where do you live? Seems odd somewhere would invest in a test facility, then abandon that revenue stream. It makes counties a lot of money (mechanics too) I bet a lot of mechanics in the area weren't happy to see them stop testing.

I live in cincinnati and I'm not sure why they abandoned it but it made a ton of people very happy to not have to fight it every year to get their new tags. Also I wouldn't say they lost all the revenue they either sold the testing facilities or are leasing them.

With your re route, do you not need a delete pulley?

Correct, no delete pulley needed. The pump can be completely removed and bypassed.
