i have a 86' z/28 with a carborated 305. its about as stock as it gets, i was wondering if anyone knows if taking off the smog stuff will add horse power, or improve mileage or anything. if i did take it off where do i start? there is a birds nest of vacuum lines and hoses. any help appreciated

 

it will fail as far as visual inspection goes, you wont gain any horsepower and even if you do it wont be noticeable.It doesnt affect your economy at all.
