Ok so I have a 5.7L T.P.I. with a 700R4 automatic 4 speed transmission, and T-top. Now I know you cant just make it a 5 speed because it will crack the T-top brace. I really don't want theis. So I need to know where I can find basically the subframe they put on the convertible models so I can strengthen my chassis to avoid this problem. Or I at least need to know if it is even the subframe. Thanks...

Where did you hear it would crack the brace? From the mechanic down the street working out of his front yard at home.

 

What kind of advantages would you get with a 5 speed over a 4 speed exactly?
